The nationwide, family-owned arts and crafts store sued the federal government over what they believed to be an infringement on religious liberty. The Green family, the owners of Hobby Lobby, had for years provided 16 of the 20 forms of contraception that the government inserted as a mandate into Obamacare after the law was passed. But, they objected to being forced to pay for 4 forms of contraception because those forms induced abortion, an act that goes against their religious beliefs."
